Home work

1. No kids in the gym please

CFM has a great community, and many of you have children. Occasionally children have been brought to the gym when parents are doing a workout. Although the kids we have seen have been absolutely terrific, we really can’t have them in the gym. The reason for this is that the gym is just too busy. There is no safe place for them to sit.

2. Be on time

Please turn up to the session on-time and participate in the group warmup (and the warm down at the end).We totally understand being late once in awhile due to unavoidable circumstances, but we believe that it’s unfair for the coaches and rest of the class when consistently late members squeeze themselves into the workout, and disrupt the flow of the class.CrossFit is a program system and the CFM programming model relies on the group warmup, use this time to teach skills and develop body awareness. Also gives you time to set up your equipment before the start of the WOD.We also have a coaching briefing to deliver quickly at the beginning of each session. It is important that you hear the briefing and do the warmup and cool down.

3. Don't coach unless you are a CFM trainer on staff

There is a distinct difference between supporting your fellow CrossFitter "c'mon, one more rep" and coaching.  Coaching each other is well intentioned but not recomended. If you see something that looks wrong or dangerous grab a coach.  Otherwise, focus on your own technique and put your energy into supporting and encouraging others.

4.ALWAYS PUT THE EQUIPMENT BACK AT THE END OF CLASS!!

Every piece of equipment has its own special little place in the gym. If you take it out of that place make sure you put it back when you’re finished. A place for everything and everything in its place!

Thank you
